This birthday doesn’t begin with candles.

They arrive from different directions, gliding rather than walking, their wings half-folded, their humanoid silhouettes relaxed and familiar. Some land lightly near the cake, others circle once overhead before touching down. Seven or more spirits gather without being called, as if the sea itself invited them.

Lucky Seagull Spirit · Three Form Concept
The first form is unmistakably chibi. Short, round, and light on its feet, this seagull spirit has oversized eyes and soft feather textures that resemble clouds. Its movements are quick and curious, always drifting toward balloons or shiny reflections on the sea. This form represents early luck—the kind that finds you when you’re not looking.
The second form grows taller and more balanced. The wings become more defined, the posture more confident. Clothing elements appear, inspired by sailor knots and ocean ribbons. This form reflects shared experiences: birthdays spent with friends, memories tied to places and wind.
The final form is calm and graceful. The wings stretch wider, movements slower but more deliberate. Light reflects subtly from feather edges, as if the spirit carries the ocean horizon within. This form represents enduring luck—the ability to keep moving forward without losing joy.
Birthday Scene & Atmosphere

Why I Created This
I wanted to create a birthday scene that felt breathable.
So many celebrations feel boxed in—rooms, schedules, expectations. I kept thinking about birthdays that happened outdoors, near the sea, where nothing felt forced. The seagull became the obvious choice. It’s a symbol of freedom, chance encounters, and small bits of luck that arrive on the wind.
This piece is for people who associate birthdays with movement rather than pause. For those who want to feel space around them while celebrating.
